I've called the Central Coast home for 22 years. My family and I lived in Arroyo Grande before we moved to Nipomo, so this area is personal to me — outings in the Village, school routines, finding the places we love spending time together. Not a brochure. Not a list of listings. The actual experience of raising a family here.
Why I'm the right person to ask
I started in real estate lending in 2008 and began selling homes in 2014, so I've spent most of my adult life on both sides of a move. I help buyers and sellers throughout San Luis Obispo County and the Santa Maria Valley, and I have a special passion for people whose homes no longer fit their lives — because I made that move myself.
When our family needed more room, I signed my own listing, sold the house, and moved us into a home in the neighborhood I'd always wanted. So when you ask me what it's like to move here, I'm not repeating something I read. I've done it.
What each neighborhood feels like
This is the part most people want and the part nobody tells you straight: what a neighborhood actually feels like once you live in it. Who's out walking, how the streets run, where the kids end up after school, what an ordinary Tuesday looks like.
I'd rather tell you what I genuinely know than fill this page with generalities, so ask me about a specific part of Nipomo and I'll give you my honest take — including the parts that wouldn't suit your family. Send me the area you're looking at.
Where you'll spend your weekends
This is the reason people stay. The beach is only a 14 minute drive. The farmers markets are worth getting up for — fresh produce, local vendors, and supporting the people who grow and make things in our community. Wine tasting with RJ or my girlfriends. A sushi dinner at Nipomo Sushi. A morning workout at Ritual Reform when I need the me-time. Dinner at Ember in Arroyo Grande. A race night at the Santa Maria Speedway.
And Nipomo Community Park is where a lot of families end up — picnic areas, sports fields, and an off-leash dog area. That's the stuff that makes a place feel like home. I've put the places we love on their own page — see my Central Coast favorites.
So, what's it actually like working with me?
First things first, we talk about your life, not just your house. What's working where you are, what stopped working a while back, and what you're hoping this next move makes possible. The yard you keep wishing you had. The kitchen everyone ends up crowded into. The things you're finally ready to make room for. I ask all of it, because I've been exactly where you are.
Then we work out how to actually get you there. I'll walk you through your options and give you my honest take. Ask me every question. Tell me when you're overwhelmed. That's basically what I'm here for, one clear next step at a time.
When you're ready to make the move
Moving here: Tell me what your family needs and I'll help you find a home that fits it. See my services. Read the Nipomo guide for the practical checks most people forget — utilities, outdoor space, and the daily routes a specific address would create.
Selling from here: Planning to move up or out? We can line up the two moves so one doesn't run ahead of the other. Explore selling and buying in Nipomo, and read whether you need to sell before you buy.
Want a plan before you talk to anyone? Answer a few questions and I'll put together a personalized plan for your move with Move Plan, or send me photos of your home and get prioritized prep ideas from Home Prep.
